First QWD Electric Car to Complete a Desert Rally in India
The record for the first QWD electric car to complete a desert rally in India was set by First Mobital Pvt Ltd., Jaipur, Rajasthan. On August 1, 2025, the Tata Harrier EV, driven by Ritesh Mamodiya, started from DoubleTree by Hilton, Jaipur, and covered 573 km during the Desert Quest 2025. Competing in the EV Open Class, the vehicle completed the challenging sand dune and gravel terrain using only electric power. This achievement showcases Tata Motors’ engineering excellence and sets a benchmark for sustainable motorsport in India, as confirmed on August 3, 2025.
