First Male to undergo a Second Heart Transplant
The record for being the first male to undergo two heart transplants successfully in India was set by Mr Girish Kumar P.V of Palakad, Kerala. He underwent first Heart transplant on June 3, 2013 at the age of 38. This heart failed and so underwent a second heart transplant on March 6, 2014 at Lisie hospital Kochi, Kerala. He completed 10 years after his second heart transplant on March 6, 2024, as confirmed on March 4, 2024.
