The record for the First Jarofix Road Constructed in Asia was set by CSIR–CRRI, New Delhi, under the supervision of Dr. A. K. Sinha, Chief Scientist and sponsored by Chanderiya Lead Zinc Smelter (HZL), Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. Project demonstrated the use of Jarofix (zinc-industry waste), in road embankment construction at Chittorgarh through laboratory study, pilot construction and three years performance monitoring. The research led to IRC: SP:132-2022 guidelines and utilization of jarofix of about 6 lacs tonnes in different National Highway projects, as confirmed on July 02, 2026.
