First electric scooter to tow a pickup truck
The record for being the First Electric Scooter to tow a Pickup truck was set by Greaves Electric Mobility Pvt Ltd with their Ampere Electric Scooter brand. A soon to be launched Ampere Electric Scooter was tied to a Toyota Hilux Pickup Truck with a kerb weight of 1860kg with additional weight of 140 kg of the 2 passengers in the truck and load. The run started at 3pm to 3.15pm and the electric scooter successfully towed the pickup truck for a distance of 2 kms on the Heaven Road in the Rann of Kutch as confirmed on February 3, 2024.
