First Cardiologist to discover a unique angiographic sign
The record for being the first Cardiologist to discover a unique angiographic sign was set by Dr. Kamal Sharma (born on March 21, 1975) of Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He discovered the ‘Winking Coronary’ sign, now known as the ‘Kamal Sharma Sign’, an indication of Ventricular Septal Rupture (VSR), a serious complication of heart attack. His work has been recognised in Indian Heart Journal, the official journal of the Cardiological Society of India, as confirmed on January 21, 2022.
