Fastest trio to climb and hoist Indian flag on Everest Base Camp
The record for climbing and hoisting the Indian flag on Everest Base Camp was set by Kanchadapu Lakshmana Rao (born on May 10, 1992) of West Godavari, Andhra Pradesh, along with his two friends. They started their trek on November 26, 2021, completed the trek at South Base Camp at an altitude of 5,364 metres (17,598 ft) on December 4, 2021 and hoisted the Indian flag measuring 50 metres, as confirmed on January 22, 2022.
