The record for being the fastest to swim 100 metres was set by M. Hamza Kalam (born on January 9, 2022) of Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He swam 100 metres (2 laps) across the length of a swimming pool (50 m x 25 m) in 9 minutes and 4 seconds at SDAT Aquatic Complex, Velachery, at the age of 2 years, 11 months and 22 days, as confirmed on December 31, 2024.
