The record for being the fastest to complete a marathon by a blind individual without touch was set by Mohammad Asif Iqbal (born on November 29, 1976) of Kolkata, West Bengal. He completed the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2025 (42 km) in 6 hours, 54 minutes and 3 seconds without taking any physical support from anyone despite having 100% vision impairment. He accomplished this feat by relying solely on his inner strength and instincts, which shows the indomitable spirit of the human will, as confirmed on January 19, 2025.
