The record for being the fastest to carve out the English alphabet on a single pencil lead was set by Devananda NP (born on January 13, 2006) of Ernakulam, Kerala. She carved out all the letters of the English alphabet (A-Z) on a single pencil lead in 19 minutes and 24 seconds, using pencil, cutter and other carving tools, at the age of 16 years, 8 months and 3 days, as confirmed on September 16, 2022.
