The record for the fastest river crossing with tied hands was set by Mukesh Gupta (born on July 29, 1998) of Howrah, West Bengal. He became the fastest to swim from Howrah Balur Math to Howrah Ramkrishnapur Ghat, West Bengal, and cross the 10 kilometers in Hooghly River in 1 hour and 59 minutes at the age of 26 years and 5 days, as confirmed on August 3, 2024.
