The record for being the fastest to read one hundred sight words was set by Laahif Muhammad J. K. (born on May 31, 2019) of Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He read 100 sight words (one to five letter words) from a sheet of paper in 55 seconds, at the age of 5 years, 10 months and 7 days, as confirmed on April 7, 2025.
