The record for being the fastest to descent from Everest Camp 4 to Everest Base Camp was set by Sunil Nataraj (born on July 1, 1973) of Bengaluru, Karnataka. He descended from EC-4 (7900 m) to EBC (5360 m) on May 16, 2022, covering a distance of 13.11 km in 13 hours, 13 minutes and 55 seconds, at the age of 48 years, 10 months and 15 days, as confirmed on August 26, 2022.
