Fastest blindfolded motorcycle expedition from Ahmedabad to Delhi
The record for being the fastest to complete a motorcycle expedition from Ahmedabad to Delhi blindfolded was set by Dinesh R. Patel (born on November 26, 1955) of Kheda, Gujarat (currently residing in USA). On June 16, 1981, he was blindfolded by Late Shri Prabodh Raval (former Home Minister of Gujarat) and started the expedition at 4:00 pm from Ahmedabad. He arrived in Delhi at 6:00 pm on June 22, 1981 (completed 1,200 km in 6 days and 2 hours), and was received by former Finance Minister Maganbhai Barot. Two youth service officers accompanied him on his expedition, as confirmed on July 29, 2023.
