The record for the biggest sand eye sculpture to promote eye donation was set by Rotary International District 3262 led by District Governor Rtn Yagyansis Mohapatra, at the bank of the River Kuakhai, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. This extraordinary artwork, meticulously crafted in commemoration of the 120th World Rotary Day, aimed to raise awareness about eye donation. The sculpture measured an impressive 195 feet in length and 32 feet in height. The monumental sculpture was brought to life using approximately 1,500 metric tons of sand, symbolizing the vision and hope that eye donation brings to countless lives, as confirmed on February 23, 2025.
