Biggest Cultivation of Elephant Foot Yam
A record for cultivating the biggest elephant foot yam (Amorphophallus paeoniifolius) on his farm was set by Thomaskutty Kodunthara (born on May 18, 1964) of Kottayam, Kerala. The length of the plant from base to leaf tip is 370 cm or 13 ft and its perimeter is 69 cm as measured by the office of the Agriculture Officer, Vazhoor, as confirmed on September 17,2021.
