The record for creating ‘best out of waste’ crafts was set by Sulatha Haridas (born on May 6, 1983) of Chennai, Tamil Nadu. She made 65 artefacts, including pen stand, flower pot, wall hanging and cup, in 13 days, using waste materials like coconut shell, clay, newspaper, foil, fevicol, handkerchiefs, cardboard and palm leaves, as confirmed on October 7, 2020.
