Many people believe that growing older means slowing down. They think adventure, creativity, and big achievements belong only to the young. But these inspiring record holders have proved that age is not a barrier. Whether it is trekking through the Himalayas, performing hundreds of yoga movements at high altitude, creating beautiful artwork, singing on stage, or enjoying thrilling adventure sports, they have shown that passion and determination can continue throughout life.
Their remarkable achievements remind us that a healthy body, a positive mindset, and the courage to follow our dreams can help us accomplish extraordinary things at any age.
Here are five inspiring ageless people who set remarkable records through their courage, creativity, and commitment and secured their place in the India Book of Records.
A Remarkable Everest Journey at 62
Acharya Raghu from Bengaluru, Karnataka, created history by setting the record for the maximum distance covered on the Everest Base Camp (EBC) route within 24 hours by a sexagenarian.
Born on January 4, 1962, he began his challenging journey from Namche Bazar at 11 PM on November 18, 2024. He travelled through the famous Himalayan locations of Tengboche, Dingboche, Tukla Pass, and Lobuche before finally reaching Gorakshep at 2:22 PM on November 19, 2024.

In just 15 hours and 22 minutes, he covered an impressive distance of 38 kilometres. At the time, he was 62 years, 10 months, and 15 days old.
This was not just a personal achievement. Acharya Raghu undertook the expedition to spread awareness about the importance of health and fitness through his campaign called “Mountains for Health.” His accomplishment encourages people of all ages to stay active and embrace physical challenges.
Performing 333 Surya Namaskars at High Altitude
Acharya Raghu achieved another extraordinary milestone just one day later.
On November 20, 2024, he performed 333 Sailum Style Surya Namaskar, also known as Yaksha Pranam, at the Everest Memorial located at Thukla Pass. The memorial stands at an altitude of 15,846 feet (4,830 metres), where the thin mountain air makes physical activity extremely demanding.
He completed all 333 Surya Namaskars in only 40 minutes.
The performance carried a heartfelt message. He dedicated the achievement to more than 300 mountaineers who lost their lives while attempting to climb Mount Everest. At the age of 62 years, 10 months, and 16 days, he combined physical endurance with respect and remembrance for those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the mountains.
His achievement demonstrates that yoga is not only about flexibility but also about discipline, strength, endurance, and mental focus.
Adventure Has No Age Limit
Many people avoid adventurous activities as they grow older, but Krishan Kumar Yadav from Delhi proved that excitement and courage do not disappear with age.
Born on July 15, 1953, he set the record for performing the maximum number of adventurous activities by a septuagenarian.

Between September 19 and October 17, 2024, he successfully completed six thrilling adventure activities:
– Paragliding
– Zipline
– Bungee jumping
– Swing jump
– Tandem skydiving
– Solo skydiving
Completing even one of these activities requires confidence and determination. Completing all six at the age of 71 years, 3 months, and 2 days is truly inspiring.
His achievement encourages older adults to step out of their comfort zones, experience new adventures, and enjoy life without fear.
A Lifetime of Devotion Through Art
Creativity has no retirement age, and Kiran G. Prabhu from Bangalore is a wonderful example.
Born on December 26, 1948, she created an astonishing 200,000 hand-drawn and coloured pictures of Lord Ganesha using sketches and crayons.
Every drawing reflects patience, dedication, devotion, and artistic passion. Reaching such an enormous number of artworks requires years of consistent effort and love for art.
At the age of 76 years, 5 months, and 12 days, she set the record for creating the maximum number of hand-drawn pictures of Lord Ganesha by a septuagenarian.
Her achievement inspires people to continue expressing their creativity throughout life while staying connected to their culture and traditions.
Singing with Passion at 75
Music keeps people young at heart, and Ramchandra Daulatrao Patil from Jalgaon, Maharashtra, proved exactly that.
Born on June 16, 1950, he set the record for the longest continuous karaoke live performance by a septuagenarian.
On September 25, 2025, in Pune, Maharashtra, he performed live karaoke continuously for 1 hour and 32 minutes.
Standing before an audience and singing continuously requires energy, confidence, memory, and enthusiasm. At 75 years and 3 months of age, his performance reflected his lifelong love for music.
His achievement reminds us that hobbies and passions can continue to bring happiness and purpose regardless of age.
