The record for longest time to gaze at the sun with bare eyes by a septuagenarian was set by Mahendra Singh Verma (born on August 1,1951) of Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. He gazed at the sun at a temperature of 39 °C for a duration of 1 hour and 26 minutes, at Hotel Radha Resort, Mathura, at the age of 70 years, 7 months and 26 days as confirmed on March 27, 2022.
