The record for achieving the highest educational degree by a tribal woman was set by Najma Khatun (born on February 8, 1983) of Hanumangarh, Rajasthan. She belongs to Rath tribe of Rajasthan and has researched on the socio-religious life of Rath tribal women. She completed her Ph. D. from Jaipur National University in Social Science on December 11, 2020, as confirmed on February 17, 2021.
