The record for the Largest Shayana Ganesha Idol Made from Recycled Newspapers was set by SAMVED, School of Art, Music, Visualisation, Entertainment and Design, GH Raisoni International Skill Tech University, Pune, Maharashtra. The idol of Lord Ganesha (measuring 20 feet in height amd 30 ft in width) in sleeping pose is being crafted using recycled newspapers, foam, ropes, wire, bamboo, natural flour-based adhesive and discarded vehicle tyres collected by faculty and students, as confirmed on September 19, 2026.
