The record for ‘Highest-Altitude Diabetes Awareness Campaign Organised by an Individual’ was set by Dr Parul Agarwal. He embarked on an expedition from Lukla to Mount Everest Base Camp (17,598 feet) above sea level, the whole initiative was carried out from April 26, 2026 to May 7, 2026. During the expedition, he interacted with trekkers and guides while displaying a ‘Know Diabetes No Diabetes’ banner to raise awareness about diabetes prevention, early detection, and effective management, as confirmed on July 20, 2026.
