The record for making a Kolam artwork with the maximum number of dots using rice flour was set by Saranya S. (born on November 29, 1987) of Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu. She made a Kolam artwork (a traditional ritual artwork of Tamil Nadu) with 5,409 dots, arranged symmetrically and connected through continuous freehand patterns, in 3 hours and 45 minutes, on a stage floor on July 12, 2026, using rice flour, as confirmed on July 13, 2026.
