The record for being the fastest to reach Mt. Everest Base Camp was set by Amitesha (born on May 16, 2015) of Bengaluru, Karnataka. He started trekking from Lukla on May 3, 2026, and reached Mt. Everest South Base Camp (at an altitude of 5,364 m) on May 8, 2026, in 6 days, with his father, as certified by the local trekking guide ‘Tula Bahadur Thapa Magar’ (bearing license No. 764), at the age of 11 years and 21 days, as confirmed on June 6, 2026.
