The record for performing the maximum number of figure-eight Silambam rotations single-handedly in one minute was set by Saara Elangovan (born on June 25, 2021) of Erode, Tamil Nadu. She performed 60 figure-eight Silambam rotations, single-handedly, in one minute (swinging the Silambam from one side of the body to the other in a large arc forming a figure-eight shape), using her right hand, at the age of 4 years, 5 months and 11 days, as confirmed on December 6, 2025.
