Maximum Participation in the cleaning drive in an Hour
The record for maximum participation in a cleaning drive within one hour was set by the Municipal Corporation of Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, on September 25, 2025. The drive, organised in line with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s cleanliness initiative, aimed to promote community involvement in maintaining cleanliness and environmental awareness. Titled ‘Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath- Swachhata Hi Seva Hai’, the initiative saw 15,156 participants across 100 wards, from 8:00 to 9:00 AM, including municipal employees, educational institutions, and NGOs, as confirmed on December 1, 2025.
