Longest Chunri Procession in a Religious Offering
The record for the longest Chunri procession in a religious offering was set by the Collector’s Office, Maihar, Madhya Pradesh. On October 5, 2025, in a spiritual tribute, 5000 citizens of Maihar covered a distance of 5 km carrying 3500 meters long Chunri to Maa Sharda. School children from the Maihar district supported the Chunri Yatra through cultural and awareness activities, showcasing unity, devotion, and community spirit. The objective of this event was to celebrate the Foundation Day and Pride Day of the Maihar district, as confirmed on October 5, 2025.
