Longest reading relay marathon conducted by an educational institution
The record for conducting the longest reading relay marathon was set by Mandsaur Institute of Ayurved Education and Research of Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh. The institute conducted the longest reading relay marathon on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, wherein 50 students (seated cross-legged on the floor) read aloud, together, the Sanskrit book ‘Ashtang Hrudyam’ non-stop for 18 hours and 25 minutes; starting at 10 a.m. on September 3, 2025 and ending at 4.25 a.m. on September 4, 2025, as confirmed on November 5, 2025.
