Longest Campaign to Plant Saplings
The record for the longest campaign to plant saplings has been set by the Kumaon Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam employees federation, Uttarakhand, under the leadership of Dinesh Gururani, President. The employees of the organization have planted 5,2000 saplings. This campaign was done from July 3, 2024, to May 31, 2025, for a total duration of 332 days. This is the such employee-led environmental movement in the country, where participants arrive at their offices, plant saplings, and then proceed with their regular duties, as confirmed on June 2, 2025.
