Maximum Girls to swim with Hands and Legs Tied Promoting Water Safety Awareness
The record for the maximum girls to swim with hands and legs tied was set by Valassery River Swimming Club, Aluva, Kerala, under the guidance of Sri Saji Valassery. A total of 23 girls participated in the swim, starting from 8.50 am and concluding at 9:30 am, covering a distance of 1 kilometre across the Periyar River with both their hands and legs tied behind their backs. The objective of the campaign was to promote water safety, as confirmed on July 8, 2025.
