Longest Group Swim Across Vembanad Lake by a Team

The record for the longest group swim across Vembanad Lake by a team was set by the Valasseril River Swimming Club, Aluva, Kerala, under the guidance of Sri Saji Valasseril. On February 27, 2025, a total of 16 individuals participated in the swim across the widest stretch of Vembanad Lake in Kerala. They started at 6:30 AM from Kumarakom in Kottayam district and concluded at 12:00 PM at Muhamma in Alappuzha district, covering a distance of 9 kilometres. The objective of this group swim was to showcase the power of teamwork, discipline, and physical endurance, as confirmed on July 28, 2025.
