Maximum Community Ponds Constructed in a Month for Rural Water Sustainability
The record for constructing the maximum number of community ponds in a month for rural water sustainability was set by the Rural Development Department of Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh. Under the leadership of Shri Abhishek Kumar IAS, Chief Development Officer, Lakhimpur Kheri, the campaign ‘Har Gaon Talaab Abhiyaan’ ran from May 15, 2025, to June 15, 2025, during which the department constructed 1030 community ponds, across the district, equipped with inlets and outlets to serve local needs, as confirmed on June 18, 2025
