The record for being the oldest Bharud dancer was set by Padmaja Chandrashekhar Kulkarni (born on April 21, 1943) of Pune, Maharashtra. She has performed ‘Bharud’ (a traditional folk dance of Maharashtra) from 1970 till date, at the age of 81 years, 8 months and 27 days, as confirmed on January 17, 2025.
