Maximum Distance Covered by an Electric Bus
The record for covering the maximum distance by an electric bus was set by Green Cell Mobility’s NueGo Electric bus in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The journey began in Jammu on October 4, 2024, and concluded in Kanyakumari on October 18, 2024, covering a total distance of 4,039 kilometres. This expedition aimed to showcase the viability of electric buses across India while highlighting their environmental benefits. Along the route (Kashmir to Kanyakumari), the bus conducted various community outreach programs, including student workshops, tree plantation, street plays, and others in Delhi, Jaipur, Bhopal, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Kanyakumari, as confirmed on November 8, 2024.
