The record for making the largest Indian flag made from newspapers was set by Knowledgeum Academy, an initiative of JGI Group, Bengaluru, Karnataka. During the 78th Independence Day celebrations, more than 78 students, teachers, and staff members of Knowledgeum Academy created a flag measuring 79.5 ft in length and 4 ft in width using waste newspapers and wheat flour gum, under the theme ‘I Love India’. The creation process began at 10:10 AM and was completed by 10:51 AM, taking a total of 41 minutes, as confirmed on August 15, 2024.
