Youngest to summit Mount Kinabalu
The record for being the youngest to summit Mount Kinabalu was set by Grihitha Sachin Vichare (born on August 8, 2014) of Mumbai, Maharashtra. She started the climb at 9 am on January 25, 2024, and reached the top of Mount Kinabalu (at a height of 4095.2 meters at Malayasia) at 8.30 am on January 26, 2024, holding the Indian flag along with a saffron flag (with the image of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj), at the age of 9 years and 6 months, as confirmed on February 8, 2024.
