Maximum People Participated in a Wildlife Awareness Program
The record for the maximum number of people participating in a wildlife awareness program was set by Dr. Ramesh Kumar P, IFS (born on December 5, 1976) from Puducherry. The program was organized by Bandipura Yuva Mitra under Dr. Ramesh Kumar’s leadership, the initiative saw a total of 8,410 participants, including 7,019 students, 655 teachers, 197 panchayat staff, 395 local farmers, and 143 tribals. Spanning from March 3, 2023, to March 8, 2024, 162 awareness sessions were conducted over 162 days at Bandipur Tiger Reserve, as confirmed on March 8, 2024.
