The record for making the largest cross- stitched portrait was set by Manoj Matthew (born on December 12, 1984) of Thirumoolapuram, Kerala. He made a beautiful portrait of Mother Mary and child Jesus (measuring 46cm in height and 42cm in width) using black thread. He used 2,700 full counted column cross stitches for the portrait, as confirmed on November 23, 2020.
