The record for making a unique gold waistcoat was set by Radhakrishnan S Acharya (born on June 8, 1969) of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. He made a pure gold waistcoat for a 5 year old boy, in 22 days. The gold waist coat has hallmark 916 (22 carat), and weighs 536 grams, it is wearable, flexible and as comfortable as the coat made of cloth. The record stands confirmed on September 20, 2019.
