The record for carving out the smallest sandalwood elephant (measuring 1.4 cm × 1 cm) was set by Kishor Bezbaruah (born on October 1, 1989) of Nalbari, Assam. He carved out an elephant on sandalwood, using a blade, as confirmed on September 15, 2020.
