The record for engraving the smallest Sri Ramcharitmanas was set by Ajai Kumar Mittal (born on February 14, 1969) of Hapur, Uttar Pradesh. He engraved 12,585 lines on a single rectangular oxide-coated surface of a plain glass mirror (measuring 30.5 x 16.05 cm i.e. about 490 sq. cm). The complete epic was engraved within 300 lines on the glass surface. A torch was used as the lighting source over the needles, which were used as pens to engrave on the surface, as confirmed on July 22, 2020.
