The record for being a skillful Kolam artist was set by M. Vidhyalakshmi (born on November 3, 1950) of Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu. Kolam is an old art form that teaches us the basics of drawing. She has been making various patterns of Kolam since July 18, 2014 and has so far made 1092 Kolams, as confirmed on May 13, 2020.
