The record for being the only woman driver in Maoist affected area was set by Kiran Ramesh Kurmawar (born on January 1, 1996) of Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. She is a post-graduate in Economics and is the only woman who is driving a passenger taxi jeep in the Maoist-affected tribal district of Gadchirolli. She started driving to support her family when her father met with an accident. She commutes around 70 km every day between her village Regunta and Siroch, as confirmed on September 11, 2020.
