On the occasion of Independence Day on August 15, 2012, a total of 571 women, participated in the Assamese Keerthana (Dihanaam) together for duration of 8 minutes, at Chowkidinghee Field, Dibrugarh, Assam. The event was headed by Assamese folk singer Dolly Das in association with Assam Lekhika Sanstha.
