Amar Ujala Publications Limited, an Indian Newspaper, in association with Chandigarh Police, organized a cricket tournament named ‘The Amar Ujala Chandigarh Police Gully Cricket League – 2012’ consisting of 557 cricket teams (533 team of boys and 24 team of girls) and in total having 9,469 participants, at various grounds around Chandigarh. The tournament began from March 25, 2012 and ended on May 12, 2012, all the matches being played under the guide lines of ICC rules & regulations.
