The record for singing the maximum number of spiritual poems was set by B. Umaa Nandini (born on January 9, 2004) of Udumalpet, Tamil Nadu. She sang 6620 ‘Devarams’ (DEVARAM is a group of spiritual poems sung by the three Saiva Samaya Acharyars viz., ‘Thirugnyanasambanthar’, ‘Thirunavukkarasar’ and ‘Sundarar’) over a period of 188 days starting from April 6, 2020 to October 10, 2020. The songs were recorded and shared through WhatsApp groups and sung collectively by the people, as confirmed on November 21, 2020.
