The record for making the maximum number of paintings using oil pastels was set by Katakam Suhruth (born on October 19, 2011) of Hyderabad, Telangana. He made 65 colourful paintings on different topics namely natural scenery, animals, birds, deities, marine life, solar system and Mahatma Gandhi, at the young age of 9 years, 2 months and 9 days, as confirmed on December 28, 2020.
