The record for solving the maximum number of multiplication sums in one minute using abacus technique was set by Atharva Patwardhan (born on August 18, 2012) of Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. He mentally solved 26 multiplication sums (two-digits multiplied by one-digit) in one minute using abacus method, at the young age of 8 years, 3 months and 30 days, as confirmed on December 17, 2020.
