The record for making the maximum number of handcrafted snug bags using the macramé knotting technique to promote ‘Say no to Plastic Bags’ is 220 and was set by the Department of Fashion Technology, Bannari Amman Institute of Technology, Erode, Tamil Nadu, on the institute premises, on September 7, 2019. A total of 515 participants in groups of 2 members each handcrafted the bags in 7 hours.
