The record for successfully operating and removing the longest foreign body (hair) from the stomach of a girl was set by Dr. Keyur Bhatt (born on November 9, 1979) of Surat, Gujarat. The condition called trichobezoar started from the stomach to the end of small intestine measuring 59 inches. The surgery was performed in SIDS hospital, Gujarat, on October 26, 2017, as confirmed on July 29, 2019.
