Sufyan Shaikh (born on July 11, 1990) of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, is the first person to have swum across 10 famous seas across the globe, including the Persian Gulf, Arabian Sea, North Sea, Atlantic Ocean, Pacific Ocean, Gulf of Mexico, Mediterranean Sea, Adriatic Sea and Indian Ocean. He swam the seas within a duration of 3 years, 6 months and 10 days, from March 10, 2004 to October 28, 2007 and performed his 10th swim in the East China Sea in 2011 at the World Aquatic championship, held in China. He was felicitated by India Book of Records for his achievement on February 27, 2013, at Record Breakers’ Festival held at Indira Gandhi Kala Kendra, Noida, U.P
